WE'LL EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO YOU!
Ulcerative colitis (UC) is part of IBD, or “Chronic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases”. At most the disease affects the entire colon but it never extends higher towards the small intestine, nor lower towards the anus and perineum. It is a chronic disease evolving in flares, interspersed with phases of remission during which the patient has no symptoms.
what is its origin ?
The origin of UC is still unknown and much research is underway, but several factors seem to be involved:
- Intestinal dysbiosis: when the microbiota goes, everything goes, and vice versa
- A genetic factor: if your close family is affected, the chances of developing the disease are increased
- Immunological factors: a somewhat surly immune system could be involved in the appearance of the disease
- Stress would be an aggravating factor. Keep cool!
your DIJO recommendation
We recommend the L’Indispensable probiotics treatment
As explained, your microbiota is often disrupted in the context of intestinal disease. It is relevant to take probiotics in addition to your medical treatment to rebalance everything. The intestinal flora is comparable to your fingerprint, no one has the same... A treatment that works for your neighbor or your sister may have no effect (or bad effects) on you! The best thing is to be accompanied by a health professional so that they can provide you with advice and opinions based on your situation. Everyone has their own flora, everyone has their own answer!
Manual
L’Indipsensable probiotics :
- 2 capsules in the morning on an empty stomach
- To be done as a treatment for at least 1 month
- For more lasting effects, extend the treatment for 3 months
AND FOOD?
Diet is a real concern for patients. Many people eliminate foods for fear of their supposed negative impact on their intestines: fruits, vegetables, legumes, dairy products... An avoidance which often has harmful consequences, both physiologically and psychologically, and which very often turns out to be useless!
Today, no official diet recommendations can be offered to modify inflammation. On the other hand, and this is important: studies prove that a balanced diet is part of the medical recommendations for the management of UC.
It is therefore not useful to deprive yourself outside of push-ups! Eat everything, in reasonable quantities and subject to your personal digestive tolerance. The main thing is to maintain the pleasure of eating and avoid deficiencies.
